Zdeněk is a project manager with extensive experience in the field. His professional career started at UNISTAV, a major Czech construction company, when he was still a student. At UNISTAV, his responsibilities included preparation and construction of a range of large-scale projects. Zdeněk holds a Construction Management Degree from the Faculty of Civil Engineering of Brno University of Technology.

Tomáš is an alumnus of the Faculty of Architecture of Brno University of Technology. He’s gained professional work experience at leading Brno-based architecture studios. He specializes in providing complex architectural solutions as well as designing and delivering high-end interiors.
HISTORY OF UP-I
Established in 1994, Univers projekt focused on designing and constructing buildings for both the state and the private sector. In 2012, Tomáš Valeský and Zdeněk Kočí, new partners and professionals in their fields, joined the company and refreshed its mission and vision. We had different expertise and experience, but shared a common goal, which was to focus on end clients. I needed to furnish a new build flat I had bought. And as specialized work should be done by a professional, I decided to hire an architect. Three years have passed since then and I still appreciate all the smart details and high-quality work. While visitors praise the look, I also enjoy how practical and user-friendly everything is. Granted, I would have been able to furnish my flat somehow, but I would have never come up with all those perfect details: location of sockets, appliances, cupboards, wardrobes etc.

A developer supplied to our client an apartment that only had finished floors, interior doors, tiles, cladding, and basic equipment. PARENTS’ FLAT BECAME A NEW HOME FOR A YOUNG COUPLE
A 3-bedroom flat was in need of thorough renovation – floor components had to be replaced, new electrical wiring, boiler and heating elements needed to be installed, walls had to be plastered and painted. The client and the architect found common ground as early as the design phase and were able to come up with a practical and cosy as well as unconventional and timeless design.
